For more than 15 years, Lucy's Market has been one of Buckhead's favorite neighborhood destinations for fresh produce, prepared meals, flowers, wine, gifts, and gourmet foods. Now, the locally owned market is preparing for its next chapter with a move to a significantly larger location—and parking lot!!—while remaining in Buckhead.
Where Is Lucy's Market Moving?
Lucy's Market plans to relocate from its longtime home in Andrews Square (56 East Andrews Drive NW) to 3402 Piedmont Road NE, across from Atlanta Tech Village and near former Disco Kroger (IYKYK 😉) in Buckhead. According to publicly filed planning documents, the new location will provide substantially more space for retail operations and customer parking.
The move keeps the business firmly rooted in the neighborhood it has served since 2009.
Why the Move Matters
Owner Kim Wilson has steadily expanded Lucy's Market from its humble beginnings as a roadside produce stand into one of Buckhead's most recognizable local businesses. Over the years, the market has grown well beyond fresh produce to include:
- Chef-prepared meals
- Fresh flowers
- Curated wine selection
- Gourmet pantry items
- Seasonal gifts and home décor
- Custom gift baskets
The larger Piedmont Road location is expected to allow Lucy's Market to expand many of these offerings while improving the overall shopping experience with additional display space and more convenient parking.
Expected Timeline
While an exact grand opening date has not yet been announced, current public information suggests the following timeline for opening is Fall 2026. Until the move is complete, Lucy's Market continues operating from its current Andrews Square location.
Looking Ahead
For loyal customers, the move should mean more of what has made Lucy's Market popular for years—just with additional room to grow.
As construction and preparations continue, shoppers can expect future announcements regarding the official opening date, expanded offerings, and any grand opening events. I, for one, would follow Kim anywhere. Her store is a visual delight and it is an absolute treat to shop there!
